Sunday (18 May) saw Kirkcaldy Canoe Club members heading West to compete in the Glasgow Green Marathon K2 Championships. Another very successful outing for the Club.

There was also races held for the K1’s and yet again KCC had excellent performances.

Thursday 15th of May was the date of the first Summer Series race of the year. These Events are held once a month on the Loch at Linlithgow. It was a lovely sunny evening, but the water was rather choppy due to the strong wind.
Winner of the 10km race was Colin McMorrin from KCC and Sandy Bell (KCC) won the 6km race. The 1st K2 was Ursula and Alan Mackintosh (KCC) followed closely by Margaret and Brian Chapman (KCC).
Summer Courses will be run by the club for –
8-13 year old boys & girls on –
30th June – 4th July between
10:30 am-12:30 pm OR
1.00 pm – 3.00 pm
£30 for 5 days of canoeing
During a 5 day course you will have the opportunity to try sprint racing boats.
After the course you can join the club and have regular coach lead sessions for fun and self improvement in sprint, marathon or recreational paddling.
