In anticipation of the return to paddling the club has produced an updated Covid-19 Risk Assessment which can now be accessed from the Club policies page.
As April fast approaches we would like to ask you all to submit membership forms and pay fees for the season 2021-22. The link to the membership form is below and we would appreciate it if this could be completed as soon as possible. The information will be saved onto the club laptop and the Google Form deleted but if you would prefer to email the information that is fine.
Please note the new category of Family membership which, as discussed at the AGM, is being introduced this year. Family membership is applicable to 3 or more members of the same household joining in the same season.
The first 2 members of a family (2 adults or 1 adult & 1 junior) pay full price. Subsequent members of the same household get a 10% discount. Please note this does not include non paddling supporters who are not full members. The junior member categories are based on age on 1st January 2021. The 2 junior categories are the same price but need to be listed separately in our documentation.

As restrictions have begun to ease a little we are now in a position to offer paddling sessions starting from Thursday 8th April. For at least the first few weeks these will be run in a similar way to last summer with juniors taking priority at the Thursday sessions. Parents of those paddlers will have to confirm to me (Debi) in advance via WhatsApp that their children are free from any Covid-19 symptoms to comply with our Covid policy. If you need to be added to the WhatsApp group please let me know.
Based on the numbers we expect, we will be able to allow competent adults to paddle on a Thursday too but this may need to be restricted in the future if new juniors join before restrictions ease. As with the juniors, you will need to let me know if you plan to come to allow us to keep an accurate record for Test and Protect.
Juniors should arrive around 6.15pm to be on the water at 6.30. If adult paddlers can please wait until around 6.30 to arrive that would be much appreciated.
The guidance also still requires us to have 72 hours between sessions and so we can’t run our Tuesday sessions at the moment. Instead we will have an un-coached/peer supported session for competent adults on a Monday evening, starting from 12th April. As with the Thursday please confirm to me in advance if you plan to come and that you are free from any Covid-19 symptoms to comply with our Covid policy. If you need to be added to the adults WhatsApp group please let me know.
Please note that current guidance requires everyone who is age 12 and over to comply with the 2m distancing rule until restrictions change.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the loch soon.
PS. Debi’s number is 07736060161
The club has recently been approved by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).
There are no immediate changes to the way that the club will operate but this status will make the club eligible for new sources of support which will help us to develop and grow into the future.
