Kirkcaldy Canoe Club
Kirkcaldy Canoe Club training sessions take place on
Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm at Kinghorn Loch from
April to October. Over the winter we have a varied
programme, more details can be found
here.
Club sessions for 2012 begin on Tuesday 27th March at
1800, Kinghorn Loch.
All ages are welcome to come along and try canoeing.
Bring a change of clothes.

promotion to the Boys 'B' at the recent regatta in
Nottingham in May. Well done, Colin!!

At the club AGM held recently in Kinghorn
Community Centre, the following club trophies were awarded
for the 2010 season:
Paddler of the Year - Daniel Malcolm
Jnr Most Improved Paddler of the Year - James McKeown
Snr Most Improved Paddler of the Year - Sonia Dean
David Chalmers Trophy - Paula Henderson
Swimmer of the Year - Piotr Lazarczyk
Brick of the Year - Jill Henderson

Training Camp
In
February 2011, 6 members of the National Performance
Squad, which included the club's own Paula
Henderson, flew to Portugal for nine days warm
weather training at Agueira.

CLUB NIGHTS RE-START
Tuesday 29 March 2011 at 6 pm is the start of club
nights for this season. All members past and present are
welcome.
TESCO VOUCHERS
As in previous years, the Club are once again
collecting the Tesco Vouchers which are now being issued
with every £10 spent in Tesco stores. Please save them up
and hand them in to the Shed once paddling re-starts on
Tuesday 29 March.
In the past, the club has managed to 'buy' sports holdalls
which are used when travelling to events and a loud hailer
with the vouchers which have been collected.

January 2011 - In January 2011, 6 members of the club
travelled to Slovakia to take part in a winter training
programme organised by the SCA. Whilst there they took part
in cross-country ski-ing, running, gym work and there was a
day of fun when they went down-hill ski-ing.
They were also given the opportunity to mix with other
paddlers from Slovakia. They all returned home exhausted
but well prepared for the season ahead.
